Have you ever wondered if you’re meant to follow a certain path that’s laid out before you? How do you know if you’re supposed to do it? I think many of us on this spiritual and personal growth path have asked this. I received this question for the Akashic Records that illustrated this uncertainty so many of us feel better than ever. And, of course, the Akashic Records gave a beautiful answer.

“So here is the question I’m afraid to ask:

Do the Akashic Records know or think I’m not able or worthy of being a light worker? Or it’s not my path to access the Records for myself and for others? Or to use numerology or any of the other practices I’ve learned? Like should I just stick to my day job and an ordinary life?

That is the question I’m afraid to ask because I don’t want to hear them tell me the truth, which is that I’m on a fool’s journey and I’m not a lightworker or anything of the sorts. And I never will be.”

The Akashic Records offered this answer:

The coolest part is that you get to choose if you want to be a light worker or not. Even just by asking this question you realize you have the potential to fill the proverbial light worker shoes.

The best light workers aren’t the ones who have all the information memorized and who know things “by the book.” They can certainly tell you what to do and how to do it, but they haven’t done it themselves – and you can tell. They haven’t held space for themselves or for enough others to realize that nothing in life is ever by the book. They don’t have the flexibility to go outside of what they know to embrace the unknown and to trust that they can face it even though it’s unknown.

  • Because you’re asking this question, you’re inviting this path of going beyond the known into the unknown.
  • What does it look and feel like to be a light worker?
  • How do you DO it?
  • What if you don’t know how to do it?

That’s the path…to face the unknown and learn through it and trust that you are enough, worthy, whole and Divine and you don’t HAVE to get anything right! There is nothing to get right.

You get to say yes to this path and it will often begin with book knowledge – which you now have plenty of. Now trust that your book knowledge will be your side kick but the real star is you. When you are willing to hold yourself in love and compassion in the face of the unknown, when you’re not sure if your book knowledge can help, and when you are doubting all the things – that’s when the true light work is being done.

There is no job description for light workers. We face what comes up in any moment and we hold space for it and for ourselves.

You were called to the Records not because they wanted to dangle a carrot in front of you and never let you have it. There is no carrot – you are it! You get to choose if you decide to take the light worker path privately or more publicly. But anytime you clear stuff for yourself, you clear it for the collective.

So, whether you do work as a numerologist, a reader, a plumber, an accountant, whatever, whenever you are facing your own shadow and your own joy, and everything in between, you are doing light work!

Everyone on this planet is doing light work, whether they call it that or not. You don’t have to say yes to the public mission and you will still be doing light work. Can you embrace this within yourself? That’s the key: to give yourself permission to do the work for yourself first, no matter what.
